I got my dealer to apply before collection. Dealers usually have a recommended fitter. 20% tint which is a good level as you can't see inside. I think it was about £250. HTH

I too was looking to retro tint, so started my quest to see how good a retro tint could be applied.

I came to the conclusion that it wasn't for me because of 2 main factors.

i    the heated rear window elements become so much more visible ( tint applied to inside of car thus making a dark background behind the elements.

ii   on the glass periphery, where  the small black dots fade into the black, it effects the bonding of the tint making it appear quite light (creamy coloured).

Perhaps some people who have had it done may beg to differ, but like I said I became paranoid looking at all retro tinted cars, and they all suffered to varying degrees in these areas.

However the choice is yours

Really? I was hoping to have mine done as it seemed cheaper than sunset glass?

Sorry, should have clarified that I have a MK2 so pics may not help?

My main worry is to see the door panels come out to apply the tint and i am not sure what if the doors start rattling in the near future...

Get them to replace the clips they broke! (Or do it yourself!)
