Finally tomorrow

Featured Replies

After a short.....! 20 week wait I collect my VRs Tdi estate mid morning tomorrow, meteor grey, standard cruise, keyless and heated seats.

20 weeks appears to be be good compared to what I'm seeing on here.

The weather look less an average but that's what happens when you pick up a new car in January. At least I get to use the heated seat from the off....happy days.

Fine choice of vehicle, I'm loving mine!

Enjoy the collection....

Congrats. I too am picking up mine tomorrow morning, ordered September 4th so exactly 20 weeks for me too! Rallye Green TSi manual hatch, sunset glass, Columbus, canton, spare wheel. Very excited.

I've only seen 3, a white, a black and a blue the blue was a 13 plate so I'm guessing a demo.

The amount of people who are buying then at the moment they'll be everywhere before too long.

The regular models are already a common sight on the road and see to be a firm favourite with car rental companies at the minute.

Other than waiting times I guess that means Skoda have got it right?

I don't think i've seen even one mk3, in any of the trim levels yet, apart from when i was at the dealer.

i've seen a few mk2's around though.

Congrats on the car by the way, exciting times!

My new arrival.

First impressions, I like!

Colin you aren't near Kent are you? I've order the same colour with black pack without seeing one (other than photos) so trying to find one nearby to have a look at!

'Fraid not mate, I'm just on the outskirts of Southampton. You won't be disappointed when u see yours in the flesh, I guarantee!

Should have mine by the end of the month. Im in T Wells

Trip through Tunbridge Wells it is then! lol. I've gone round all the local dealers to me just to see if they have one but they only have Fabia's (Maidstone) or Rapid (Gillingham) in Rally Green on display or on the forecourt.

Shame they dont do a rapid spaceback vRS, that would be sweet in green

Very nice car. Have fun with it.

So 3 days of ownership didn't quite start as I hoped, having ordered my car through my fleet manager ( it's a company car but its registered to me my allowance pays the finance so I own the car ) somewhere in the process someone ordered a hatch not the estate.......!

All the extras were there and it was the right colour.

So what do you do?

This is what I did

1. you instantly think that looks fantastic and I didn't really need a estate I just liked the look of the estate over the hatch. But I looks awesome.

2. you return to the fleet manager and look very unhappy, ask him how on earth he is going to resolve it as it my car and I want what I ordered.

3. you storm out the office get a coffee and gaze in awe at the stunning VRs sitting in the car park and wait (desperate to get in and drive it)

4. stone face stare at the fleet manger walking towards you looking very worried. Who then apologises over and over for the mistake

5. Consider the offer of £2,500 off the price of the car if I take the stunning looking hatch parked in the car park saving me £52 a month.

6. Begrudgingly accept the offer for the good of the company as I'm a loyal employee...!

7. skip to the car get in and drive off with a massive grin.

250 miles and 3 days later realise you own a fantastic car that has drawn a crowd where ever I've parked it....RESULT...!

Meteor grey hatch? Get pictures up and quick!

The green looks stunning too. I've gone for the safe option of white, dont have the bottle for one of the stronger colours

The cars are good.  Lots of people seem to talk about their car drawing crowds.  Mine never has, maybe I park in the wrong place...or the right one?

Congrats to both you on your new vRS's.

I think the rallye green looks very nice, I almost ordered it but bottled out and went for race blue.

So Wasp27 when are going to see pictures of your hatch in meteor grey? We have seen pics of Menace's estate/combi and it looks good, but I would still like to see a hatch in this colour.

Definitively the right one! If I was in a place where a Skoda draws a crowd, I would probably not stop...and keep the doors firmly locked.

Not sure why this is doing this but there you gopost-107585-0-99081400-1390654454_thumb.jpg however if you open it it's the right way up.

Very nice in the meteor grey.

You're probably right.  Not sure why the hoards would swarm around what are really nice but subtle and discreet family cars.  Unless the hoards are 17 year olds outside McDonalds perhaps. I do think they look good but they're hardly eye candy.

Hardly hoards.... But as I work in a automotive related industry and I've been at work, guess that explains the interest... Been to Waitrose this morning and no hoard when I came back so I guess the bubbles burst.......?
