I guess it depends why you're thinking of doing it ;)

well to save costs mainly with the moving in with the gf i need to cut costs as my 384 a month on my fabia could be better spent else where i think

but how much would you have to pay for the Aygo per month?

Well in that case, it looks a good buy. 4car seemed to like it a lot and rated it as the best in class, joint with the Pug and Citreon city cars.... well specced, 61.4mpg apparently. Only downside seems to be severe body roll and a small boot, although it depends what their comparison car was! ;)

chris they do sports springs as an option for it so that might not be too bad :)

paul dunno yet my problem is really

384 a month on my loan on the fabia over 48 months due to having to pay off another loan

i have about 36 months left

and my car is worth what about 8k for a 53 plate with 26k on it

so id have 5 k left to pay

ah fook it its not worth it might aswell just plod away lol

sell the furby and buy a used Corsa 12v 3 cylinder ;) That'll save you loads.

id rather die than have a corsa i do have some standards lol

but think what else you could do with the money ;)

buy a new identity :P

just move down in the furby range... 1.2 12v comfort/ambient

Could go for public transport - the MPs would like that!

I don't think they would! Just think you'd be depriving the treasury of all that fuel tax and potential speeding fines if you went on the bus.....

I'm similar in that with my monthly payments, I would struggle to move out. Any chance of overtime to help get a grand or 2 together then re-arrange your loan? If you took the loan out at the dealers, I think you could get about 6% from certain other loan providers.

Failing that, if you want to get a cheaper car, I'm looking at getting my gf a Polo for when she gets back from France. I've seen them go on a P/R plate for about

Do what I did... sell the Fabia and buy a Mk2 Golf GTI. Now, before you dismiss it straight away, yes I know that I had problems with mine, but honestly I've only spent a couple of hundred so far putting it right, and its had quite a bit done to it now. I am loaning the money from my dad and paying back

I had a 1998 1.4 Polo and it was a great little car. Very cheap to run. My only qualm was the ride, which is very sloppy (so I dumped it onto 60mm coilovers with 195/45 tyres :D )

You'd really want a GLX, SE or CL. Get alloys as the 13" steels are just plain dangerous. And make sure you get a sunroof or air con.

Best thing would be to test drive and see how much the argo will cost you a month. It wont be the same drive as the fabia or as relaxing but if you use it around town mostly then that's not a major problem.

I think early next year I will be in the same position as you  good luck with it all

YES!

I actually quite like the Aygo. Had a chance to have a good nosey at work and took it for a spin. Seems well put together for such a small, cheap car. The 3 cylinder engine also sounds very nice indeed with a rather sporty sounding growl kind of reminicent of a Porsche!

i think i will wait a few months as we will have 2 cars the fabia and a ka :( but the ka is paid for and costs bugger all to keep going

then i will re asses my situation :)

possibly sell the fabia and put the money in my savings account then pay it off when my savings match the outstanding that shouldnt be toooo long
