I dont have maxidot on my fabia, so i have that blue cold engine light.

I was just curious if there was another light which lets you know if its too hot? Iv never had an issues in any car, and i understand the fan will kick in if its too warm and soon knock the temp down again.

However i was just wondering. If you did have a problem and the engine got too warm, how would you know? Is there another light?

Iv never had a car without the conventional temp needle before. My bike doesnt hsve one but its abit more obvious with that.

Yes there is. It is red and it will come when your engine will be too hot, it is placed on the rev counter's panel and it has the same image but in red colour. You can see it when you turn your key in and dashboard light comes for checking right before you fire up your engine.
