Anyone tried a set of Zenith alloys on a Yeti?

Featured Replies

As per subject really.

I suspect I am not alone in wondering what these wheels are. Picture...link.... Might help

Ah sorry.

17" Octavia VRS mk II wheels.

I would include a picture but I'd struggle as I'm on my phone (it's an ineptitude issue, not a lack of technology)

They'd fit fine and I'd imagine would look great. I was quite tempted to keep mine to put on the yeti as winters as they already had winter tyres on...

Amazing where you can go in a fwd car with good winter tyres and raisable suspension! But mine were 18. Heracy. :)

Not tried them, but they'd fit right on so I can't see any reason not to.

The quandary I have is that when the Octavia goes tomorrow, I'll be left with a set of Zeniths shod with nearly new Michelin primacy 3 tyres. If I flog them, the return might not be great, so I ought to consider using them.

Catch is the Michelins are 225/45R17 rather than 225/50R17, so I'd be lowering the gearing a little and the Speedo/odometer would both over read.

It's a tiny over-read though to be fair. 2mph at 60 and 1mph at 30.

Main consideration would be the insurance, which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if it was discussed and declared with a specialist like Brentacre.

Best I put them on and give them a try

Don't forget to inform your insurance company you have fitted a non-standard wheel.
