Could VCDS see why Stop start isnt activating

Featured Replies

After another 200 miles still not a single stop start activation on my greenline and im getting concerned. I have had the battery properly tested and there is nothing wrong with it. I am getting some things done on VCDS tomorrow including checking the DPF ash content so i am wondering if there is anything to look for on there which might tell me why after hour long motorway blasts the stop start still wont work.

Sorry to hijack the thread slightly, but how do you check ash content with VCDS.

Sorry but there is nothing in that thread that helps me. The car has been warmed up well plenty of times with no electricals on (i even turned the stereo off). And as i said the battery has been tested.  I just need to know if and where in VCDS i could perhaps find more information and a cause for the system not working.

Apparently block 068 or something. It states a percentage saturation and a content in grams.

Since the start stop function is most likely functioning as expected, there will be no fault for VCDS to read. VCDS will only report on logged fault codes, so unless the start/stop has completely failed nothing will show. You can look at measuring blocks, but these will just be numbers and not text.
