Xenons stopped working

Featured Replies

Got a bit of a problem!

Yesterday I changed the sidelight bulbs, they work perfectly.

I went to drive the car and the dipped beams would not power up, they flick on for a second then die  - So it's not the fuse!?

These are the aftermarket Depo projector xenons fitted with a HID kit, the kit is about 9 months old.

Before I start fiddling does anyone have any suggestions? I left the dipped beam well alone during the sidelight swap, so I'm at a loss to what's happened. The install was done indoors so water damage can be ruled out i think.

I leave for work in the dark and drive home in the dark so this is a bit of a problem for me!!

Help!

Joe

Have you tried putting your old sidelight bulbs back in?? mite be your new ones doing something weird , especially if they are LED's

Could be that. Worth a try.

But the old sidelights were LED's too!

Definitely try that first

Not all LED's are the same, loads of poorly built ones about these days, i had to take my number plate LED's out after a week because one began to flicker randomly, won't bother with them again.. interior LED's that were purchased from the same seller have been fine

Sorted!

Somehow, I don't really know. I didn't even need to get the hammer out!
