carpet flooded

Featured Replies

Can anyone point me in the right direction. My mates 53 plate fabia vrs has a leak. Passenger side carpet is soaked only in the front. Any advice will be helpful

Do a search you should find a how to :)

Check your drains, clean out the leaves change the pollen filter.

Could also be door seals.

If it's passenger side it's probably blocked air ducts sending water the wrong way which ends up finding its way through the pollen filter and onto the passenger side footwell.   If it is that, it's a case of clearing all the crap out from the ventilation system etc.

Could also be the dreaded failed door seals (more common in the back than the front).  Have a look on the door seal.  Is there a lot of water on the top of the door seal itself?  If so, could be that.

Also check drainage holes in door to check they are not blocked.

Do a search in forum for these kind of search terms, loads of threads.

No sign of any water around door seals at all. I thought coming through pollen filter but that seems dry aswell
