Looking at the options they don't seem to be available from factory order on VRS estate... can these be easily added - are they just stuck on? Finished in white would be ideal to go with white wheels....

If you look at Brimma' s excellent Build thread on his white estate, you might find pictures where he had side rubbing strips on and then how the car looks with them removed.

& it is a white estate with White Gigaro wheels.

 

They would not be a Factory Fit,  but a Dealership might fit for you, 

Things like Lowering springs can be a 'Dealer fit option.'

 

Side Rubbing strips are attached simply with 'peel off & stick on tape.' (10-15 minute DIY job, including removing the wax first.)

To have them finished in White you will need to paint them.

KInd of defeats the purpose of them, but i suppose easier to touch up the Plastic Rubbing strips rather than the tin.
