Jungle Green - anybody seen one in the flesh yet?

Featured Replies

Jungle Green on order (primarily for SWMBO), and still time (I think) to change the colour.  Big reservations about it, not having actually seen it.  Could be fantastic looking (and Skoda are using it in promotions, so they must think so) but it could just be a murky, boring, dull, sludgy green.  And you know what car salesmen say about green cars.

Has anyone seen one in a dealership anywhere?  It'd be worth a trip just to check it out before the decision's totally irrevocable.

  • I think the Jungle Green and Muscovado are the two best colours for the Yeti. I also think the Jungle will perhaps vary depending on the light - being darker under cloudy conditions and with brighter

  • You wait... There'll be a battery of them before long.Where's me coat?

Not seen one but looks good to me, I think you must be aware the colour hue will probably change with the light...

I'm not generally a fan of green cars (there are a few exceptions, like a BRG Aston or a lime green Ariel Atom) but I'd have that.

When I ordered mine the dealer had Wakev's Muscovado SE parked alongside an L&K in Jungle green. My current Yeti is Muscovado and I didn't want to go too far away from it for the new one. That Jungle Green looked very nice and not at all sludgy. The comments about appearing different under changing lighting is correct but that also applies to Muscovado.

I shall watch this with interest as I'm also wanting to see one 'in the flesh'.

I have just ordered an L&K 140PS in Jungle Green (and a few extra toys) but my dealer has gone strangely quiet since I signed on the dotted line, so I don't have a forecast delivery date yet.  I too have seen Jungle Green Yetis going through their off-road paces in the promotional videos, and I think it looks pretty good.  I did also consider Muscovado, but went for the green in the hope it will go well with the highly desirable(!) brown upholstery.

I will post pictures once I get my hands on it.

How about this for green :

Jungle Green is as close as I can get on a FL Yeti :giggle:

There are few cars that can take a colour like that. That one can! I'd also take an acid green Gallardo Superlegera.

I like green cars, but when I first started driving my father said it is an unlucky colour so I was put off. Over the years I only ever ran one when my company supplied me with an Opel Ascona Voyage back in 1973. Guess what, it was run into twice and finally stolen and written off. It did put me off altogether and I have never gone down the green route again. I am sure it is just nonsense so have a look at one and decide the Jungle Green looks good to me and suits the off road look especially.

I looked at one in Bath, lovely colour!

It darkened and lightened as traffic past

and it reflected lighter or darker.

My new one is sitting at Horsham Skoda if you are anywhere near.

I have seen it and it looks good, but does change colour depending on whether the sun is shining or not. It gets lighter in the sun.

Dave

The changing light has a similar result with Tibetan Bronze.

I think all these slightly 'different' colours available for the Yeti only come into their own when you see them in the flesh. Too many people dismiss them sight unseen...

Head back over and take some photos :D

I do have one photo, but it looks browny green in the light and I haven't found a way to post it. Do I need to subscribe first?

Oh, I'm glad the RAF told me I was colour blind! :whew:

There's always the option to wrap a Yeti I suppose. Don't forget that option ;)

that's identical to mine  according to skoda UK  my week 3 is made and just waiting to getting shipped over  i wonder how long it will take now

Its typical isn't it. Everybody loves Jungle Green - soon there will be hundreds of them on the road.

A few years ago I chose a white car as there were not many white cars about, and then everybody seemed to go for white. Last time I went for Black to be different, and suddenly all the cars you see are black :wonder:

Green is the new Black

No BROWN and COPPER is the new black.  Green rarely works on any car so it is a rare one this, where the green is so tasteful and looks so good.  The Yeti that (still) has the colour nailed for the zeitgeist is Muscovado.

Earthly colours will be the big thing over the next few years but more towards the brown and copper end with the emeralds gaining ground (but due to stigma this will never be a popular choice sadly).

So if you really want to be in (and stay in for a fair few years) the only Yeti choice is the Duracell one.
