Hi all,

My Oct 3 Vrs Estate starting to annoy a tad ????, get in the car and connect up my Iphone 5s with lead ( lightning adaptor ) to the car.

Niggle 1:-The head unit sees the phone and brings up in media the default song on iPod, but doesn't start up playing. Have to physically press play on phone.

Niggle 2:- plug phone in and then shows error iPod on head unit and shuts the power to head unit. Drops the screen for park sensor etc..

Anyone else that come across something similar? Or is it a call to dealer for them to run update on software???

Have you got Mitsumi or Columbus??

 

If not i'm pretty sure you just need to play music over bluetooth.

Brian, if it's the Amundsen and Iphone 5S that's the same setup as mine.

 

It should really just be plug in and play. As soon as you plug it in, it starts playing the first track on the phone (not sure if it is any order or not). I have noticed that mines seems to go to random play though, never normally set that up so it may be the stereo doing it.

 

I would maybe give a quick call to the dealers as it doesn't sound anything like my one. 

Will give them a quick call tomorrow and sound them out.
