Hi all

I am considering putting a 2 post lift in my garage for doing work on the car and van. It depends if I can adapt the roof trusses to give an extra 2 or 3 foot clearance.

I had a look at lifts and there are ones with chains and more reasonably priced lifts with hydraulic pumps.

Are the hydraulic ones OK. Are they safe enough??

Is there a specific make or type to steer clear of??

Any other advice??

If you need a 3 phase supply and don't have one very close to you it will cost silly money to get one.

I was thinking of something like this. Also need to check how deep the ground anchors need to be. Concrete floor is about 5.5 to 6 inches deep.

Step up inverters aren't massively expensive in the scale of things. I had prices between 200 and 500 to supply and install a few years back.
