Not sure if anyone is looking for a new Android phone, but I've just picked up a Huawei G510 in my local Asda for £46!!

 

The phone is locked to Vodaphone, but unlock codes are readily available for a few pounds.

 

Bizarrely CEX will apparently give me £63 pounds for it (unlocked)

 

It seems a reasonably competent phone and certainly blows any of the cheaper Samsungs (Fame etc) out of the water.

That thought crossed my mind when I bought a Huawei phone last year, but then I considered that if the Chinese government really want to read the acres of drivel that my OH and I text to each other in an average day, let them.

Well it's either the Chinese or the NSA/GCHQ that's going to read your irrelevant messages. I think I'd probably rather it was the Chinese too.

Good plan - might have to point my dad in this direction a he is looking for a cheap no frills android smartphone.
