Mk5 Golf Recall

Had my Golf in on a main dealer recall a few months ago for the diesel injector/wiring loom recall...or so I thought. The dealer only replaced the injectors, telling me months later (after I paid over £400 to have the loom replaced) that they were told (by whom I do not know) that the loom had ceased to be a part of this particular recall. Anyone know anything about this?
