Replaced Wing Mirror with wrong mirror glass?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just had my Skoda Octavia Elegance 2002 in for a new wing mirror at Volkservice at Blackpool, I noticed when I got it back that the mirror didn't have the line down it on the right hand side, I think it's correct name is aspherical mirror. I'm a bit concerned as after reading around I think because it's not the aspherical version it may too not have the heating element in it. It's having to go back in as the paint job has a noticable line in it and the colour match isn't right. They get their parts from VAG so was wondering if there was a different part number for this mirror. If anyone has any experience with MK 1 mirrors it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Feel the mirror for heat. They are cheap enough from eBay to replace for a matching heated pair. When I bought mine back one was tinted so I replaced both. Easy enough job.
