Just unpacked the roof bars for my Octy 2 Estate and i'm less than happy with them, firstly the are too thick for my ladder hooks to go around and they are a complete **** to fit and remove.

The roof bars on my astra were thin and only took the turn of a key at each end to fit and remove, on the skoda there are allen keys and keys at each end.

Does anyone know of any aftermarket options that fit my bill?

Seem OK to me, a large lockable thingy on the end of each bar is simply turned to attach/release.
