Oil Change Now! warning

Featured Replies

I noticed this warning pop up when starting the other day, on the maxi dot, I though mmm strange as I've only just clocked 600 miles!!

Checked the oil and all is fine, checked the service indicator and its showing

"oil 0 miles/357 days" inspection 180000 miles 628 days"

I've just spoke to dealer who said "that doesn't sound right" and to book the car in?

Anyone any thought or ideas?

Monte tech 1.6crdi, now on 670 odd miles from collection..

sounds like a glitch .. if you have oil it will be fine ;) I suspect a faulty sensor (the one that tests the condition of the oil for variable services..)

They appear to probably forgot to set correctly at PDI before delivery to you.

Hope its as simple as above like, the old "mm doesn't sound right" wasn't what I wanted to hear hahah.

I'll see how it goes tomorrow

Cheers all.

Interesting .....keep us informed .

Just been to dealer.

Plugged laptop in when I was there.

In the pdi they had changed it to fixed services, but hadn't done it properly and saved the change, so a two minute couple of clicks and its sorts.

Phew!!

Are you on a Service Plan and having Fixed Servicing at 9400 or within 372 days ?

george

Yes, fixed service plan. Every 10k (ish)

Same happened with mine. It was quite handy really as I got them to sort out the one-click opening of all the doors with the key fob at the same time.

Typical. I asked when I was there, but he said "can't do any tweaks, its all been changed so we don't have access now"??
