Bluetooth Distortion.

Featured Replies

I recently picked up a Rapid Elegance with the standard stereo.

I am suffering from some issues with the Bluetooth and my phone.

I had a 2011 Focus and all was well with the Bluetooth in that.

First issue is call distortion.  Around 75% of all calls are dalek style.  I can tell from the first ring if this is happening.  The second issue is audio streaming, again never an issue in the Focus - it is

randomly micro pausing , maybe 1sec or less.  Sometimes this happens 3 times in a track, sometimes once in a day.

My work blackberry and my wife's Motorola Razri on android 4.2 are unaffected.

With my Galaxy S3 I have tried many many versions of Android, 4.1 - .4.4.2 with different kernels / base bands etc and they all suffer from it in that car.

SO, on the surface it would seem my phone has an issue, but it was fine in the Focus.  Unless it manifested it's fault the day I got the Skoda.

Not sure what else to try.

Have you tried someone else's S3 in the car to see if it's a 'fault' with your specific handset??

Have you checked that you have wifi disabled on your phone?

Cheers for the replies.

I don't have another s3 to try.

My blackberry is fine as is my wife's Android Motorola.

But then this phone was fine for the past year in the focus.

Phil - yes tried turning everything off apart from 2g / voice.

Very frustrating.

Cheers,

Mulv
