Can anyone tell me where the Vag-com socket is hidden on the new Octy please? I've searched all the forums and FAQ's but could not find any mention of where this is located.

I'm not sure, but on the old Octy I believe it's under the steering column and on the Fabia it's behind the can-chiller compartment. It's a purple 16-pin socket so you'll know when you find it

Octavia II is on the drivers side under dash.

Can anyone be a bit more precise. Do I need to remove any trim to find it, as I've been lying on my back upside down in the foorwell of my elegance and still cannot see a purple socket or any other coloured socket for that matter? :confused:

You dont need to remove anything, its under the right hand side near the bonnet pull.
