@the OP - ignore the less than helpful post.

It might, however, get you further if you told us a bit more about what wheels you like, don't like, if you want to stick to OEM or you're prepared to go aftermarket etc. etc.

There is also a "Wanted" forum where you can post so everyone can see you are looking for a new set of wheels, rather than just in the Fabia II area.

If you are searching pistonheads or ebay then you're basically looking for wheels with the following dimensions;

15-17" in diameter

6-8J width

5x100 bolt circle centre-to-centre

57.1mm centre bore (although anything bigger can use a spigot ring)

ET30-ET45 depending on tyres fitted.

The wheel fitment is the same for the Mk I Fabia, any SEAT Ibiza from the last 15 years, any VW Polo from the last 15 years and anything up to 17" from an Audi A1.

Loads of other VAG wheels also fit, just make sure they are 5x100.

Let's not forget the TT eh Walt.  ;)  - or at least the first generation.  Just as an aside, which wheels are you running on your allroad (incl winter)?

 

For Fabia II 215/40 on 17" ET35 wheels looks quite nice and handles OK (as far as my pov spec Fabia allows anyway).

Indeed, the TT Mk I and Audi S3 wheels are both very popular with the Mk I crew.

On the allroad I'm currently just running the 18" Continental Sport Contact 5's the car came on. I'm actively looking on ebay for some winter wheels but they all seem VERY expensive. I've got a bit sick and tired of swapping wheels over for a winter that never seems to come or when it does it comes in April after I've swapped back to summer tyres etc. so I'm minded to go with a set of 19" wheels and Michelin Latitude Cross all-season tyres because I reckon they'll be more than adequate for the current mixed up weather we seem to be enjoying every day of the year.

I'd hope that you were thinking about keeping the 18" for winter and buying 19" for summer use. If you are doing it the other way then I'd think your approach is unique.

 

Edit:- remember winter tyres are better in colder weather and snow and ice, and not just in snow.

I've not gone for winters at the moment because the temperature has been consistently over 8C recently, so at that point the winter/summer thing becomes a bit more difficult.

I'm actually looking to go with an all-season 19" tyre (M+S rated) simply because it's a faff changing wheels and the conditions in the UK never really seem to justify a full winter tyre. For running up a few tracks and grassy fields the all-seasons should be plenty.

Yes, they are a compromise, but it's a compromise I think is acceptable.
