a Windy Error code

Featured Replies

Thought I'd share this as I found it amusing. DId the canister delete a while back, got a resistor wired into the loom and all good. Recycled the old hose and fed the emissions feed into the wheel arch. THe other day I was working on the car, had the engine running as it it was baltic and blowing a gale. All of a sudden ping- CEL. Quickly ran a fault code scan in Torque Pro to see "emissions control wrong flow direction". Looked at it for while then realised- it was so windy the wind was actually forcing flow back along the line (must be another sensor further back in the system or something). Reset the code, no wind and no CEL lol. I found it amusing anyway hehe

That's pretty cool :D

The wind must have been at just the right angle to get it lol. Stoopid english weather hehe

I once had a new Jeep Cherokee where the engine switched off and then back on again on the motorway during a strong head-on gust of wind.

My life flashed before me in that 2 seconds  etc etc
