It's fun watching the boost fly upto 1.7! :D

dont ask lol! Any garage should be able to do them for you

they are on a skoda Fabia vRS

As it's getting darker I'll post some night shots in a mo :D

Mike my honest opinion is they are bloody awful ch@v fittings. But thats my opinion and if you like them on your car then good for you!!

If you enjoyed fitting them then thats even better

Mine too sadly.

But hey i've got a yellow pick up, what do I know.

Good luck on getting the others working. Where did you take the boost off?

pass lummox!! I got a garage to fit them for me  they did tell me but I've forgotten where now, I can post a pic if you really want to know.

Yeah I guess they can be seen as being ch@vy but that's not what I got them for, I just wanted to keep an eye on things, my car is going to be tuned/modded even further (in time) so I'd rather know what's going on before it all goes bang. :P

Anyway I though the fabia is the new nova? :D

I dont mind others views if I did then I wouldn't have posted the picutres everyone is different that's what makes Briskoda so good.

Oh and Stu I got the disc sorted out

I like gauges, It's those bloody great pods I don't like. I agree it's nice to keep an eye on whats going on under there.

What was the outcome of the disc?

You copying Lummox's paint job on that Astra?? ;)

You've hit then nail on the head there. If i was fitting extra gauges, they'd have gone in the tray under the stereo.

Me too. I had a Golf GTI Mk 1 with three VDO gauges in the dash where the stereo was. I moved the stereo to the console. It was a neat arrangment.

I like them, I like them a lot, but I am not too sure about the angle of them? I'd prefer them to be square...

I toyed with them going under the radio but didn't go for it for two reasons

a) I like that space there it's handy to put things in.

B) I didn't think they would fit there all that well, the would be too cramped.

As for the disc steve is sending me replacement which is nice of him, he's a good guy!!

lol nah that would be SWSBO's dads astra, it does stand out a wee bit doesn't it

walkie, they are spot on when I'm driving, its for my seat position when driving, when I took the pictures the seat was way back and laid back if that makes sense

I like them! But dont they get in the way, or stop you seeing that part of the road?

  • Author

not really from where I sit it's no worse than the piller anyway

Fair point! Well I think they look smart!

Looks nice imo

Must say, after having seen these in the flesh, I can confirm they look great!

The pod and guages look like quality items, and everything looks "right" when sat in the drivers seat. A top mod, well done Mike!

Just need to get the other 2 working though, eh mate!

I think there great! but i would have mine on the dash in the centre using this

rx-triple-top-mount.jpg

Wouldnt go for a pod of 3 but have always fancied a boost gauge

Well, I have a boost guage but looking for a good pod for the centre of the dash too - Any ideas welcome. I like those black ones above, where did they come from? ;)

  • 7 months later...

What gauges are they flatfourburble? I'd want a boost gauge on my furby when I actually manage to get it :) I'm also tempted by the defi gauges that are completely black when off but light up when you switch the car on. Were they expensive to get fitted?

  • Author

Cant remember the make but they are the ones that are black when the car is switched off and then light up when on.

As for fitting...............depends on where you go, but make sure you get the qoute in writing.

I nearly fell of my chair when i saw those photo's, don't you get a big blind spot now.
