Problem deactivating licensplate bulbcheck

Featured Replies

I have a 2011 Yeti, i mounted LED licensplatelights today and thought i could just deactivate the bulb-check. I have found where i should deativate it but i still have the error saying "please check licensplatelight"

I have done like this:

Cent elect - 09

Coding - 07

Long coding helper

Byte 23 - Bit 6    unticked that box

Am i doing something wrong or am i at the wrong place... :-)

No you are not doing anything wrong, you need either resistors or an additional (W5W or similar) bulb in the loom to turn off the warning, just coding it does not work.

Hi Gizmo68,

I am also newbie (recently bought new Skoda Yeti model 2015), with the same problem. I have bought rear view camera and replaced   light bulb for    license plate light with camera and LED bulb. I am now having error of the    license plate   lump being burned out as well.

I have heard that you can replace another incandescent bulb for     license plate    with LED one and recode it  in diagnostic system replacing incandescent lamp with LED ones. Is it true and how it can be recoded?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards

I now have the same in the Superb Alex (after the 3 LED version ones failed... AGAIN - 4 bulbs in approx. 2K miles)

Lets just hope these last a bit longer!

I had problems with something else, replaced with with a heatsinked (heatsunk?) one, and has been fine ever since :)

I've had those in the Scout for a couple of months now, most of which had been night-driving, with no problems. :) :)
