£600 off and 0% APR?

I'd contact a forum sponsor, like Preston Motors and see if they can do better.

Also base you figures for running costs on around 45mpg, not 52mpg.

It's more realistic. :)

Car may tell you that, but it'll be optimistic.

Did you find your deposit down the back of the sofa :D

How random!

They came up with that. PX money going to pay off existing loan as only had the fabia since October!

The finance quote is based on £600 more than the cost price of the car, are you adding dealer fit options or is that to pay off a shortfall on your current car?

I was checking your quote.

You've hand written an amount about £600 less than the printed Retail Cash Price, so assumed you'd already negotiated £600 off ?

Ah Yes I noticed that and it's my first question for tomorrow mornings phone call!

Ask Lee at preston motors about my old car - basically a sport anyway lol

And a fair bit cheaper...

That's the one.

Elegance too, so better spec as I believe the Sport is based on the SE spec.

Actually, when you think it's less than a year old with under 5,000 miles on the clock it looks like a bargain compared to a Sport costing £4,000+ more!

Just shows how much you lose on any new car when you buy new and drive it out of the showroom...

Don't tell me that :( I'm sad to have sold it!

You have to agree, it's a lot of nearly new car for the price.

Understand your reasons for selling though.  Saving cash for a house move is sensible.

Sure is - my wife will get a fabia se dsg at some point anyhow.

Having fun in my se vrs - 64mpg and lots of smiles!

I'm not sure I'd ever buy new car. Ad Lav's  car looks a bargain as was the 9 month old Seat Toledo SE TDI ECO with 4k on I got last month for 11k from Arnold Clark.

I've learnt my lesson but circumstances change - would have kept it 3 years had it not been for house move!

One internet broker is also offering an SE Rapid TSI with Camelot wheels, sunset and sports seats for £13820 so there must be some margin in the Sport. If they won't do a discount on it I'd get a used one or even order a freshly made SE or Elegance with a better discount.

The Sport is nice but it's only a homemade SUK special edition, not a proper factory spec.

MFD in mine tends to be around 5% optimistic after a week or two's worth of use... if I use a full tank (or mostly a full tank) in a day or two across two long trips it's pretty much spot on. I think the inaccuracy gets worse the more frequently you stop/start.

UPDATE. Phoned another dealer who offered a MUCH better deal as well as giving me what I paid originally for my car as PX.

As a result I am now awaiting delivery of my new Rapid Sport (+ parking sensors). :-)

Thanks to Dale at progress Bedford!

Cool, it pays to shop around

When do you collect it?

Hopefully next week. As they are the SUK special editions they are already in the country so have been given an estimate of 7-10 days plus a day for the dealer fit parking sensors.

Yeah so surprising the difference between dealers and their willingness to work with you for the right deal.

Will have to post up some pics when she arrives......

Oh and time to order a new brisky stiker!
