Radiator Fan Switch

Does anyone know if you can replace the nut inside the radiator which the fan switch screws into?

Many Thanks

Victor

I wouldn't have thought so, they are usually an integral part of the radiator, if you have partly stripped the thread, it maybe worth trying some Plumbers PTFE tape on the threads.

Loctite 577 or just epoxy the switch into the rad, should be a permanent repair until you need to replace the rad, then you'll have to remember to buy a new switch at the same time if you've used epoxy.

Sepulchrave, do you suggest putting epoxy resin around the threads of the fan switch or both sides of the washer?  Am trying to locate a used rad however all me local scrapyards do not have one, any ideas on where to get a cheap one?

Thanks

Victor

On the threads victor, don't bother using the washer, just glue it in properly and it won't leak.
