VRS Order form now completed!

Featured Replies

Well after much deliberation about waiting times, colours/options and whether to go manual or DSG I finally made a decision and completed my order form today.

Originally I planned on VRS TDI Combi DSG in Meteor Grey, Black Pack, Cruise Control, Sunset Glass

Actually Ordered today VRS TDI Combi (Manual) in Metal Grey, Black Pack, Cruise Control, Sunset Glass

Reason for my change in colour was I like the look of Metal grey and reason I changed from DSG is that due to a change of cars in my family I now have the use of an Auto car for my 6 long stop/start trips up the M5/M6

Glad its all finally sorted and now look forward to 6 months time when I get my new car.

**Edit** Been told by Lease company that they have 2 pre-ordered VRS Combi with changeable spec, so they are going to change one of them to my spec, they have been told build week 21 for Mid June delivery

Sounds good ,like your new colour choice .From what people say on here, the manual is better suited to the TDI. No spare wheel in your spec.?

Otherwise your spec is a good balance without spending loads.

What colour seat trim?

Oh! Forgot what wheels?

What swung it was my mother and father are both getting new cars which are both Autos so i can borrow one of them for the trips from Cornwall to Manchester and with what everyone was saying about DSG with TDI, I test drove a Manual VRS combi and liked that so I am sure I can happily stir the box for another couple of years then decide if I want an Auto full time.

Not bothered with a spare wheel as I have full roadside coverage with AA and (dare I say it?) I have never had a puncture in 23 years of driving!

Forgot to request colour of seat trim on order form   might drop them an email asking for grey as I think it will suit the Grey car with Anthracite wheels, or maybe Red to offset all the grey, aaarrghhhhh what have you done!

A bit of red detailing would help, I think. Should be a very nice car.

Thanks

Tried red and grey on configure tool, think grey is more subtle and classy  with a contrast wheel and calliper colour.

That spare is a good low cast option to have available when the AA or RAC are 2hours away, or when you are out in the back of beyond in my view.

I prefer the red stitching on the steering wheel/gear lever/carpet mats and the grey stitching on the seats, I went for Red!

Haven't got hang of this site yet. Oops.

Bare with me.

I've order pretty much the same but took a bit of a gamble on the colour after only seeing it in the configurator.

Have you seen this colour in the flesh?

I ordered the spare, according to dealer you also get jack and wheel brace, which you don't with inflation kit. Think it's a worth while option. With roads these days most of my previous wheel issues have been pot hole related. Having a spare allows you to have an alloy repaired while keeping mobile.

The lease company pre-ordered them some time before I placed my order, they have build week 21 (Mid-late May) and expect the car to be with me mid-june, hence they are stating Mid-June, if it had been ordered (without them having 2 on pre-order) they told me it would have been Mid August :drunk:

Not seen it in the flesh no, but looks similar to VAG Steel grey in pictures (IMO)

I agree its worthwhile for those who do lots of miles on crappy roads and are driving with limited time, but I am in no rush so should I get delayed by a few hours or even a Day its no great worry
