1.9 tdi vrs BLT

Featured Replies

Are the plates both identical on the BLT TDI VRS ?as seems a few to choose from and not cheap if seeking with gaskets for what they are, can you get from skoda dealer so i know i have correct ones?

What?

I thought the same - can't understand what you are asking Alfie.

My bet is the egr valve gaskets but could still be wrong.

If you look carefully, as its not too obvious, there is a subcategory of "EGR BLANKING" so I'd guess it was something to do with getting the right gaskets for an EGR delete.

EGR delete from a dealer ! Are you kidding

Probably a query best raised with the person you are purchasing the kit from I reckon.

I think he means just the EGR gasket from the dealer, that would work wouldn't it as you could just use the original metal gasket. Infact think i'm going to use that for my egr delete.

Depends, if you are blanking off the EGR (don't some EGR deletes involve blanking the pipes?) you will need blanking plates won't you ? Hence you won't get them from a dealer, only gaskets, bit of a difference.

I don't profess to know whats involved in the EGR, after all on my model you have to keep it to prevent getting EGR errors on dash anyway unless you have a remap to map it out and so you would probably know better than me if its a blanking plate or just a gasket ?

Won't be doing that myself unless I need to switch to Garrett turbo as a result of turbo failure (touch wood and breathe in sharply) hopefully no time anytime soon.
