From Audi to Skoda...

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2010 Octavia VRS Petrol.

Currently I own a 2008 Audi A3 2.0 TDI 170 and was just wondering how the Skodas drive compared to the Audi?

I.e. Gearbox, comfort etc.

Obviously I'll have to drive one myself to see what I think but any advice would be great.

Thanks

Chris

Can I just ask what the best things are to look for when buying? Any known recalls? I'll be getting Timing Belt/tensioners etc done first thing.

We test drove the S-line A4 Avant, travelled about 2 miles and hated it! Took the Vrs out and then bought one, says it all really. The Audi looks the dogs but it's just no comfortable. This was also the opinion of a friend who took an A6 S-line and the kids complained from the back, they bought a Volvo V70 R design.

I think you've got to be off your tits if you think the VRS is a comfortable car. The seats are rock hard, the ride does nothing to help the slab backed seats.

Other than that, it's a nice car. I like mine.
