Good Luck Stories

Featured Replies

Apologies if such a thread has been started before, although I see no evidence here.

So....most of us post here if we have a problem/question or are responding to other people's queries, sometimes giving the false impression a certain car/model is unreliable. So lets hear about those who have run Octavia IIs for years/lots of miles and have very little but praise for their cars and their reliability.

Was looking forward to reading just how good you Skoda owners say your cars are. I thought you'd be queueing up with stories of mega miles - virtually trouble-free motoring and heart-warming stories of how good the dealers are. Obviously not....

Dealers - er no, not in my experience.

Car - yes it's great, the only problem in 110k appears to be a currently faulty break caliper, so not bad really ( although I still think my Hyundai Santa Fe was better, just more expensive to run )

Car bought new 06/2007, on 80k now.

In that time other than consumables and servicing I have had to have fixed.....

1x Teves Mk60

2x Rear hubs due to ABS sensor ring rusting not the bearing.

1x Rear brake bulb.

1x 4 wheel alignment to fix sawtoothing

Sills need a bit of TLC to keep the stone chips from spreading but that's it.
