Farewell Blackline

Featured Replies

Gets traded for an O3 2.0 TDi Elegance estate tomorrow.

Have to say its been an ace car, its not let me down in the year ive had it.....so far its probably the best VAG group car ive had and the most reliable.

The highs.....it does look really good in white with the black wheels...dont see too many like it. Also fair to say its pretty loaded up with kit for a MK2 vRS, nav, DAB, Bluetooth etc etc. Its also been epic in terms of its practicality.

The lows.....did a set of tyres in about 8k miles which was pretty terrible, also not a big fan of full leather without seat heating....some of our more recent cold mornings were painful at times for a minute or two. Also i dont rate the leather quality and if it hadnt been factory fit id have chosen the black alcantara any day. Rides a bit firm and never really warmed to the TDI and DSG combo and it never really did it for me performance wise. Suspect if it had been a manual i may have kept it.

be sad to see it go tomorrow though and desperately hope it find yet another loving home.

Nice. Enjoy the swap :)

Get some photos up tomorrow

when I bought my Blackline I thought I would see them all over the place but I haven't seen another one yet! or even a white vRS with black wheels, kinda makes it feel a bit special and different :)

Mark.

Traded for an 03 or should that have been 13? When you trade its usually for similar or better not an 11 year old car

I thought it was an abbreviation for Octavia III.

Sarge.

Wont be a 2.0TDi if it was on '03 plate. Must be a '13 reg?

It was O3 - not an 03 plate!

But 'Octy3' might be a less confusing abbreviation
