cig lighter fuse blown twice

Featured Replies

Hi all

title pretty much says it all, got round to replacing the blown fuse for the ciggy lighter, put a new 25 amp fuse in and it popped after 30 seconds or so.  any suggestions please as to what might need replacing?

Cheers

Simon

What are you plugging into it?

Right size fuse(don't be tempted to increase fuse size) . would suggest faulty cigar lighter.

a mobile phone charger, shouldnt have been drawing much at all as it wasnt even connected to a phone

seems sensible, any idea if it is a complicated job?

I was just wondering if the phone charger itself is at fault rather than the 12V socket?
