My 2008 octavia tdi classic has today started to flash its handbrake light, only does it while the handbrake is up, not when driving along. Fluid level is fine, any ideas before i start to pull the center console apart?

sounds like the handbrake microswitch is playing up. id dismantle it and clean the contacts up.

Turned out to be my led sidelights, the oil level light started flashing so investigated further, one of the sidelights was strobing, I guess it was flipping the canbus out,

changed the led lights out and all is good again... random
