I finally did it...

Featured Replies

Yep that's right, the Poop finally ordered himself a Black vRS with cruise! (safe option i know - sorry Cav-Mad-Gav ;) )

After much deliberation and convincing (of myself i hasten to add :o ) i managed to finally put down the deposit at the weekend

I should be picking it up around the 24th Sept (all being well)

It just doesn't seem real yet, you know, the thought that you'll be finally getting a brand new car, when all your life you have driven nothing but cars with a couple of previous owners

Due to it not sinking in yet i have managed to contain my excitement pretty well, but i doubt i will when the date gets closer and i have to do things like choose a number plate

:D

p.s. any one want to buy a well looked after Polo 1.9D cl?

Congrats but the next few weeks are gonna go so slow :)

Yeah, i think you're going to be right about that one

It will be worth the wait. My vRS was my 1st new car too at the ripe old age of 39 (although there are many reasons why, one of them living in London and not really needing a car before now and I mostly used to hire when I did). It's a year old in September and i'm glad to say no real problems after 6,000 miles and after a wax it still looks new.

Lets hope it still looks new in another 2 years so I can get a good price for it and get another new one. :)

My first new car, and love everda I get behind the wheel... good news.

So when i go and pick it up is there a certain 'new car checklist' that i must remeber to go through?

Well, any advice would be welcome really as i'm sure to be a nervous as a nervous thing when collection time arrives!

Just remember to count the wheels and check the steering wheels on the right side.

Usually they take you around the car and do a check with you before handing it over but since it was my first perhaps somebody else can give you some tips. :)
