I have an order for a steel grey vrs estate and at skoda uk config site there is no mention of this colour for the vrs so i phoned the dealer and he says that this is the new colour for vrs.

Colour in brochure and skoda site say vrs colours are meteor grey,metal grey and brilliant silver? so im totally confused anyone have any info on this. :think:

The Meteor Grey is Solid Grey and not Metallic, & Silver is Silver & Metallic.

 

So best ask the Dealer or Skoda UK to confirm which Shade or Hue of Grey Metallic they are going to supply.

 

They are all nice Grey Metallics up to now which ever name they give them.

& they have chopped and changed a few names since 2010.

hi the dealer told me its steel grey? but as said the vrs does not have this choice in the brochure or on config site? so im getting a steel grey vrs estate in two weeks time new by the way.

But 'Metal Grey Metallic', is on the Configurator and the Order if you want, so i suppose you are getting that.

& i spotted a solid grey vRS Octavia lll estate the other day,

filthy with road grime and it looked so bad.  (that is bad bad, not good bad.)

My order sheet said Metal Grey, invoice said Steel Grey and in the boot it's Platinum Grey.......  Three names same colour...

hi i just found out from skoda uk that the vrs steel grey was discontiued in build week 37 sep 2013 and that my estate will be the only colour around which as you guys know there are not many anyway.

Mine was at felixstowe skoda compound and the only colour avail unless you wanted white which was in germany so i grabed it.

Also acording to uk skoda they have not replaced the colour as i said was it the now metal grey but no it has just been deleated.

i wonder does anyone know is this anything to do with the new 2014-15 fabia they are scaling down the build, i think if skoda uk had promoted the fabia vrs more and also the build times came down on all models they might have sold more cars as when i was told of over 20 weeks for choice of colour i would have gone elsewhere, as i was told by toyota uk a verso would take about 3-4 weeks for any colour and options.

I m glad my skoda was already in uk but i was given free parking sensors as well.

by the way furby i heard there was some white estates in germany with options fitted, but they may have been sold now.

Yeah I was quoted a long lead time of about 16wks. Glad I hit a showroom car in the end -especially as it came with a £2500 discount!

I was up at Linwood Skoda yesterday and theres a 13 model Monte in the showroom in shiny primer.....I'm thinking it's a hard sell as when I was in Wales ordering my red one they had theirs for months...lol

I don't think it would be a Monte, it's the Fabia Reaction, it's a special edition that only comes in Meteor Grey but with the Monte bodywork and black pack lights.

It looks like a WWII destroyer in that grey.

Nope deffo a Monte a 2013 model with 2013 Monte carlo badges on the wing tops also on the sill plates........even the info on the window said 2013 Monte Carlo......1.2 tsi on the back same as the one that was in Wales

The Fabia Reaction does not have the Black Plastic around the wheel arches.

& 16" Alloys are standard,

a member on here has a Reaction with 17" Gigaro on it.

 

& there are Meteor Grey vRS Fabias around.

That's me, probably. It's true it only looks good when shiny. When filthy (all winter, basically) it looks pretty bad. Worse than white, in some ways.

I had a test drive in a shiny primer monte in wales at Griffin Mill Skoda......didn't like it in the showroom but when it's outside in the daylight it looks different......not enough for us to buy it though......so we went for the red....lovely........shame they didn't do the blue (the one that only comes on the monte estate)

I rejected a meteor grey that should have been steel grey or platin grey as the order read, factory ordered a silver with black hat and shoes, so pleased with the silver and I swerved the battleship grey!
