Code readers - which reset service light

Featured Replies

My Fabia will be out of warranty in May, and I'll take over the servicing myself (apart from the brake fluid as I hate the stuff!).

I'm just wondering if anyone could recomment a cheap and cheerful code reader that will also reset the service light.  There are readers on the web for around £10 but doesn't look like they also reset.

It's a 2011 1.6tdi cr 75 scout.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you don't need anything to reset the light, just the dash buttons (VW Jetta has it so you hold down the trip button for 2 seconds, turn the ignition on and let go, or something like that) So look in the manual.

Have tried this in the past and couldn't get it to work - was also hoping to get something to read error codes so might as well get both at the same time.

i picked up a gendan (quicklyncs) t55 recently and it will read most of the specific vag codes as well as obd2 and also resets service.  £65 iirc.
