VRS Max speed.... German guys for the win

Featured Replies

So who has pushed their VRS to Max speed and what did you clock?

I guess it's real a advantage living in DE with the Autobahn to hand. I got one would love that.

143 mph on GPS

143 mph on GPS

Two questions:

1. What did it say on the clock?

2. Was it stable?

152 mph....ish on the clock..cant really remember..I was watching the Satnav GPS speed

Very stable..Some traffic in the distance prevented me pushing it further

BTW..3 adults on board and boot full....Driving down to Slovenja via Bertisgarten and Salzburg

When I started reading I automatically completed your first sentence to "152 mph....ish on the clock..cant really remember..I was drunk at the time..."

Been up to 135 mph on the route 2, still had plenty more left but had to slow down due to traffic, I shall give it a blast end of the week of to Rammstein on Saturday.

My 2007 tdi octy vrs got to 155 on the clock. Downhill a bit on the bahn. Was prob 130 on the gps though!

Whilst the car will feel like it has plenty more in reserve, downhill on a clear run quoted Vmax mph on GPS is about all that is achievable. Whilst it may not sound that impressive this is 65 metres per second!

Are we talking about mk3 cars here?

Yes - for me.

That's what I thought. I think there's a bit of mk2 discussion going on too.

That might be my fault for not reading MkIII

Apologies

Sorry Chris I wasn't digging but I wasn't sure.

Are stock cars actually limited to 146mph?
