AFAIK there is no option for a spare saver or normal in France. So I hope it will come with a 5th wheel skinny or normal?

I see several ppl in the UK have selected a spare as an option but not sure if this just to move to space saving small wheel or the contrary.

Seems crazy to think that it's legal to sell a car in any country with a spare??

in the uk i is a space saver for the vrs.  its a skinny 17 inch steel rim.  it needs to be 17 or bigger to fit over the front calipers and I guess VAG don't have a 7.5J 18" steel rim in the group and don't bother making it for one car...so you get a space saver.  Or yu do as I did and get the right size alloy from ebay (7.5J 18" et51....mk2 or later seat leon fr and cupra seem to come up a lot and are the correct size, also golf mk 5 and onwards gti and r32s)

 

I think you'll get the vag compressor and the sealant.

 

it isn't just a cost thing, I think.  I guess it also saves weight and helps them achieve the quoted mpg figures...those figures that we know are utter b*****ks in reality.
