LED light probs

Featured Replies

Hi All

After reading a post a few weeks back I got some led bulbs from the links given. I have managed to get the two courtesy lights in the boot working OK (w5w type) and the centre (festoon type) ones inside the car (front and rear) working.

I cannot get the interior w5w ones at each side of the centre festoon ones working although one in the back did work until I took it out and tried it in the other side, then it wouldn't work at all. I tried different bulbs, different ways round to no avail.

Any suggestions for fixing this???

Ok. Will try them again Mike. Will maybe try bending the wires a bit so they get a better contact.

if they are the ones with the thin wires as the connectors you may need to trim them off slightly and center them a bit, they wont always touch the connectors if you dont. Best guy to use if Fizzmocouk on ebay...

They are the ones with thin wires. There is a wee grove on the bulb that the wire sits in so maybe they are not making contact.

They are a bit fiddly and should work if the contact is there. All mine worked inside when I had my Octy.

Yeah, these ones can be a pain... one of mine flickers occasionally and I have yo bugger about refitting it 15 times to get it to work again.. sometimes you need to not put it the whole way into the slot too...  the new style PCB ones are the best as you dont have this issue, ill be replacing mine shortly for the PCB type

Either way there is no reason they will not work.. mine have been in a while now and certainly look a lot better!!

Hope you get it sorted soon fella

+1 for Fizzmo, had loads of LED's from them via ebay and all have lasted longer than the cheepo Chinese ones I had on previous cars. You pay a little more but who can put a price on quality?
