variable floor

Featured Replies

Hi, anyone know how to remove the variable floor from a twin door?

Should be the same as the estate, which IIRC you lift the floor by the handle and slide it out.

I miss my variable floor that I used to have in my Octavia Estate, a great place to store odds & sods as well as more-or-less level with the back seats when fully down.

To remove it in my old car, there were two twist locks on the back third that went into the side uprights. If you unscrewed them the floor panel was removable and the two side bars were each secured by a removable twist handle at the back.

I don't know if it is retrofittable into my TwinDoor but Skoda probably want silly money for it.

On a slightly more annoyed note, if I had realised that the back seat horizontal cushions were fixed in the TwinDoor I might have chosen a Combi instead as I occasionally shift stage lighting around and I could get four big boxes  in the Octavia Estate with two tall stands down the middle when the back is folded flat. (You had to remove the headrests though). With the seats folded down in the Superb I probably still could get it in but it is going to be messier.
