Hello from Bonnie Scotland

Featured Replies

Bought my first Skoda and first diesel in June last year (high mileage on a 58 plate but with an unusual history) and loving both - especially the torque as you can probably tell from my forum handle! Been lurking on the Fabia forum ever since but just signed up today.

The main reason for the hesitation is that the majority of posts seem to be from the performance end of the model range and the humble diesels get less coverage. Still I suppose it's only natural that the performance-oriented owners will have more to talk about and of course the forum is called BRISKoda. I'm more of an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of a guy but I'm still interested in looking after my wee gem as well as possible and I might have a couple of issues on the horizon. So, nothing ventured... :hi:

What's high mileage for a 58 plate?

I think the diesel's are covered pretty well here.........maybe the performance models have more issues so there's more chat/coverage regards them??!!

It was 74k which is by no means intergalactic for a 5 year old but 66k of them had been covered in the three years before I bought it.
