Speedometer arm/pin light on dashboard

Featured Replies

Can anyone help or offer any advice...

The light on my speedo arm just recently started flickering and has now gone off completely!

Every now and then it comes back on but is mainly off.

Anyone had this before or knows how it can be fixed?

could be that the led has burnt out

is the car under warranty?

where are you located

No its not under warranty anymore, located in Blackpool.

This has happened to me too. Skoda say they need to replace the entire instrument cluster. £1000.

I bought the car from new. Now nearly four years old. Skoda offered to pay 60% of the repair. Still leaves £400.

I'm having it fixed tomorrow at Cartronix near Portsmouth for £120.

There was another thread re this on the Superb 2 forum. I also started ons on here about a month ago.

To add, seems we are not alone in this. This is a part that should last the life of the car.

I wonder if the 'needle-sweep' on start up is to blame.

Mine is also flickering, and is sometimes on normally. It is, like yours, mostly off though.

I would guess the LED is fine and that it is a loose connection.

Pretty poor. I argued for a 100% contribution with Skoda UK, sadly to no avail.

Have a look online. Hopefully there's a dashboard specialist in the NW.

Chew, mine is now fixed. See my thread 'Speedo needle bulb / LED blown'

Cheers and good luck.

Thanks for this Dunc

Dont think i'll waste my time asking Skoda, i'll have a look around the North West for a decent Cluster repair specialist.

I'll show them your thread and hopefully they'll get me sorted.

Thanks again

Chew, good luck with it buddy!
