I'm particularly curious about the Curious Top Gloss Shine.

 

Might be a nice solution for topping up a wax quickly if you don't have time to reapply.

 

You apply it like a snow foam, rinse and dry at the end of your routine.

 

If any of you local guys want to grab a sample of any of these, let me know, I am free(ish) this coming weekend and will hopefully be giving the car a good clean up/down.

Well - i'm on the Sonax BSD bandwagon at the moment....and very happy.

 

But very curious on the Autobrite product range and how well they perform.

I use, and so do you use, Sonax BSD

Therefore it wont be needed, unless you ditch the BSD

I'm just experimenting Chris, I have had Sonax BSD for over 12 months, I know what it can do, and in winter it is a default for me.

 

But now that we are coming into the season of more dry days etc for cleaning the car I am going to try varying up my routine.

 

My year could be six months of wax routine and six months of sealant with BSD

 

My big enjoyment from detailing is the process and results, my car spends a lot of time filthy because family life makes it hard to get the time, certainly in the winter months.  But when I get the time I like to try new things and compare.

 

So I am thinking of stripping the car (this weekend could purchase a DA) polishing, waxing with something showy (maybe brazilian).  Then for maintenance, wash and top with a wax based QD and introducing wash and wax shampoos and Curious Gloss Shine to see how it can be maintained.

 

Plus I love a bargain five 500ml bottles for £30.00, worth a punt thought I!

Collected these last night, very good of the seller to provide some home made labels.

Felt like utter carp today, but a drive to the docs in SWMBO's Yaris upset me so much I had to clean it.

Interior got all of the detritus thrown out in a bin bag, sterilised surfaces with APC, fabrics and floor got a cursory vac and then plastics were dressed with Pink Sheen.

Outside was done very quickly due to aforementioned lurgy.

Used my draper gun to spray on pear snowfoam as a prewash, TBM with Lux Suds, Spray on Curious, Dry and QD with Berry Blast. Wash and Wax was all done in 15 minutes

Paid for it after Chris, I think I got a little high for the 20 mins while doing it then crashed a bit after. Was hoping fresh air would help, throat still very sore but Brufen and Co-Codamol are keeping the flu symptoms at bay so not entirely incapacitated. Missed out on the stag do as there was no hope I could keep the pace even without drinking and not get sicker.

No Sonax as that will give a hugely false sense of what protection the Berry Blast and Curious offer as a quick dirty clean combo. Berry at full dilution is said to be a spray wax. We already know you could finish with BSD and get 2 months.
