Drivers Side Headlight Bulb Failure

Evening all,

I've done a quick search about this and drew a blank.

Today I had a Light Out Warning come up on the dash.  Before I even got out of the car I knew which one it was as the only bulb I have ever had fail on this car is the drivers side headligh bulb.  Sure enough, it was that bulb.  This is the third set I have had to replace and it is ALWAYS the drivers side bulb that goes, the passenger side is perfectly fine.  Is there a logical reason why that particular bulb fails, or is it just a coincidence.

As an aside, the drivers side black bolt that holds the headlight in position, sheared when I was adjusting it for driving on the Continent, meaning I could not remove the headlight to replace bulbs.  It was only repaired last week :whew: !!

Maybe it is possessed!
