Any BT geeks with knowledge of bt sports watching?

Featured Replies

I've just got infinity installed but chose to go with the unlimited 80mb download package, which got me free bt sports via the online app only route. I'm wondering if I can buy a bt vision box of ebay which is internet ready and use that to watch the bt sports on? If not what do I need to do to be able to watch it through my tv?

Incidentally, I'm currently doing the ios bt sport app through airplay on my apple tv2 but the picture isn't great.

Cheers

I had BT Vision about a year ago (I get it for free) but moved and now don't have fast enough BB (1.5mb).

My understanding is that the BT Vision package needs to be active on the line for the box to work, the box connects to BT's servers via your BB connection and authenticates as soon as it boots up.

At the time I was running both a BT and a Virgin connection on a single router, if the BT Vision box was swapped to the virgin connection it would fail to boot.

Quick and dirty solution would be to connect your laptop to the TV or use a tablet like an iPod and an Apple TV to stream the video to the TV (assuming the BT Sport App supports airplay).
