Plucked!

Featured Replies

I've just noticed a pluck in the passenger seat of my 5 week old Silver vRS :( . It's on the black area and is about 2 inches long and terminates with a 2 inch long fluffy bit of black thread.

I have no idea who done it or how it happened but it somehow sullies my nice new car :(

Is there any easy way to fix it or even just tidy it up??

Thanks

Steven

why not take it back to the dealer see if they will fix it as a warrenty, gesture item?

If it's really bad (or really bugging you) perhaps a bit of old-fashioned darning would fix it. Problem is the cloth has foam bonded to its underside, so even if you removed the seat cover (non-trivial!) you still wouldn't be able to get at the underside of the cloth.

Thanks for your suggestions - I'll see what the dealer will say.

It actually seemed quite important and annoying an hour ago but since....

I just popped out for diesel to local shell garage. I drove over the covers to rain drain covers and heard a huge BANG!!

End result was a Bridgestone Turanza ER300 with 1000 miles on it with a massive gash. Complete with large scuff on the alloy

Just hope I can claim of the garage.

If nothing else it restored my faith in people as although the shell staff couldn't car less a 21 year old driver (yes 21!!) of a M3 convertible helped out with changing of the wheel

I'm really :finger: off at the mo :(

edit: Also posted in the motorway forum...
