Here it is how it will look if you use the stock hose and compress it a bit more:

Actually it may be even better like that as the pipe length is reduced! I will also do mine tomorrow as the re-designed hose ITG sent me to resolve this issue didn't eliminate the vibration completely  ;)

My ITG is in warranty, I arrived on Tuesday, will they take care of sending a new modified pipe? Have you had to send yours?

I sent an email to Awesome, I hope I resolved, or Did I send directly to ITG?

That's what I'm saying. The new modified pipe they sent me does not completely resolve the issue, the box needs to be pushed further away so you can just go ahead and use the factory hose you already have. It's not a matter of warranty. I have been speaking with ITG directly.

What did you say to them to get it send? Do you sent an email? Have you had to pay?

Yes I contacted them via email explaining the issue with photos etc and I didn't pay for it as they tried to offer a solution. But what I'm saying is that even the modified pipe is not completely curing the problem, they need to do another update but I would say this will take quite some time. So, instead of waiting just use the stock pipe of the car with the box and you will be ok, as in post #52.

I sent them an e-mail, Did you send the email to [email protected] or another? I hope you answer me and solve the problem, because the stock pipe is not as good as ITG, which insulates heat better :( , I hope I keep saying all the news, thank you very much :D

What can I tell you, ITG themselves told me there shouldn't be much difference between their hose and the stock one so I would think it is ok to have it on until they design one that works flawlessly in left-hand side cars under all conditions.

They sent me an email, and we are solving the problem

Good, please post a photo of the pipe they will send you when you receive it, curious to see how it will look.

Hey guys, does anyone off the top of their heads know the diameter of the induction hose on the ITG, the bit that leads behind the battery?

I want to order up some replacement ducting

................don't make me go out there and measure it!!!

C'mon, nice warm evening, what's stopping you?

Still too lazy to do it.

So I called ITG Customer Support :p

102mm

and for anyone who might be interested, they recommend their JDR2 Heavy oil be used on the filter which if anyone ever wanted a replacement the part number is ARAB65/67F available from Demon Tweeks and Merlin Motorsport.

I have nightmares of the moment I will have to do this... Just sounds too complicated, I remember reading you have to leave the filter one day out of the car?

Spray on cleaning stuff, massage in, rinse, leave to dry, spray on oil - not really a nightmare.

But yes you need to leave the filter to dry 24 hours.  That is why I am going to buy a spare to save the downtime.

I'm creeping towards the 5k mark for my ITG.

Is it sad that I'm looking forward to cleaning it? Gives me the ultimate "can we take your car?" excuse on the Mrs.

Holy thread revival.  Just fitted a ITG carbon induction kit to my Seat Ibiza SC twin charger.  Was ment for a Ford RS and is bigger than the usually item. £140 brand new old stock, I member when these where like £400.  Need to get a badge to cover that Ford etching lol.  Rated to 480 bhp.  I have plumed it in with a custom bracket and old trumpet from a Piper cross viper, I love recycling old stuff :D.  It fits nicely retaining original updated breather induction pipe. Hope you like.  Cheers.  Sounds lovely not too load more response and power.

Not likely unless you've had it remapped, the standard intake isn't restrictive until higher states of tune anyway.

Just admit you did it for the brrrmmmm, brrrmmmm noises like everyone else!

xD more because the original airbox just seems like a dust magnet. But ok the extra sounds are nice I will admit.  Def more throttle response though.  Going for longevity of the engine above all.  Knowing how hot these engines can get any intake temp drop must be a bonus especially on these warm days.  I guess we will say more consistent power then as I am not mapped.
