1.2 TSi engine - different outputs?

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a new Fabia Monte Carlo with the 1.2 TSi engine (86 ps), however they also do the same engine with 105 ps.

Is there any simple way of altering something to make mine 105 ps?? (i.e. what do Skoda do to increase the power to 105?)

They are both mechanically the same so technically you could remap the 86ps to around 130ps.

Was just wondering if there was a restrictor or something which could be removed to get the extra power for nowt !

I'm afraid not. They are mechanically the same with the only difference being the mapping.

Phil, ok thanks.

Was just looking at Celtic tuning and strange results:-

84 bhp goes to 125bhp & 160 lb/ft (Very good gains)

103 bhp goes to 128bhp and 148 lb/ft (Not that good)

Looks like the 86ps is the better option !

Yo dude what sort of money to remap the 86ps ?
