So a rubber O ring and slotted into the sump yeah? 

Bottom half is metal and i assume bolted in place?

I've had an idea 

I'd have a guess and say it's a press fit. Would be fairly difficult to remove it without causing damage. 

 

Best bet would be to stick something in the tube like a bolt, than use some locking grips and try to rotate it. The bolt will stop the tube from crushing

Myself and a friend are currently waiting for the prototype... the machine shop is in the process of producing it as we speak. As soon as it arrives and is good to go the first batch will be ordered.

Also looking at producing one for the diesel engine aswel folks
