Autobrite Hellshine Ghostrider

Featured Replies

I was at the jetwash this lunchtime and tried to get a video showing just how good the Hellshine Ghostrider Hydrophobic glass sealant is

Taking the video was a bit sketchy, but at points you will get the idea.

I take it you aren't buying it this month

Is this better than Gtechnik G5 Mark?

Ive run out

I have only seen the G5 fresh on my friends R32 when he was losing his mind at the streaking with wipers on.  This just doesn't suffer from that

Water really starts moving at around 35mph which is more or less what we saw with the G5 so in that respect I can only say similar, durability is excelllent as long as the glass is vaguely clean it doesn't drop off in performance, even after weeks of wiper use, I have now got it all the way around the glass on my car and I am very happy.

Personally I don't think it would dissapoint anyone.  The bottle will last well too, it's very economical.

Sounds good mark wish I would have gone for that over the G5. The streaking is driving me crazy.

Is it expensive?

Strange......Streaking should have stopped by now Carl

Yup it's still doing it Chris.

I may have applied it wrong, I did start applying it quite thick, then quickly noticed my mistake.

Could be the reason...

Also any overspray from Sonax BSD might affect it too

I used dux back great product and easy applied

How many applications do you think you can get from that bottle Mark?

I'll have a look what's left after the two full cars worth that has been used

Here we go, not sure it was to the top but over two cars I've used hardly any

I use the Carlack 86 and it does work well initially ... but I'm not impressed with the durability. After just a couple of weeks it takes a higher speed to get the water to run off, and the wipers have to be used anyway.
