Retro fitting DRLs

Featured Replies

I remember when Volvo first introduced DRLs but cynical British thought it a bit daft. Good idea for dark Scandi days for sure. Now legislation has finally pushed us into a safety conscious world. Quite keen to retrofit DRLs to my wife's Fabia estate. Several packages sold by Phillips and Osram. Has anyone done this to good effect. I am keen to know of any pitfalls to avoid. Thanks in anticipation.

What Fabia Model.?

Is it not just cheaper for her to switch on Sidelights during the Day, and if its a really bright day,

do the Dipped Headlights and Sidelights on.

Then those that need to see it is a vehicle with lights on in Daylight can to the front and rear.

& if Visibility reduces, your already lit up, front and rear.

Very Safe.

Yep, that's what is done now. But you know how it is some love to embrace new things without breaking the bank.

So which Fabia Estate?

Can you do the wiring yourself?

(without flattening the battery, that refers to the other thread.)

Have a look at 32kofdata' build thread, he fitted milotec they ain't cheap but look pretty cool

Try sweet talking Sixty7, he hates his DRLs, he might swap for something more useful, lol.
